You’ll spend most of your time within the first 2 hours trying to unlock the first spot you can go to. Certain areas and events will be blocked off from you if you don’t reach a certain standing on your channel. It’s a constant grind that will get repetitive and tedious after time goes by. The blueprint for Youtubers Life 2 is to Record, edit, sleep, and repeat, day after day. With its new interest in open-world exploration, the game feels a lot like games such as Stardew Valley or one could even say animal crossing. Youtubers Life 2 has way more to offer than its predecessor. While some characters’ missions make sense there are some that throw you in with no context whatsoever that will leave you feeling like “What the heck am I doing? Why am I doing this?” Do enough and you could potentially date and even marry them as well. There are also loyalty missions for certain characters if you talk to them enough. Most of them have you running errands or posting trends for people and take less than 5 minutes to complete. Don’t be surprised if you stop using commissions somewhere down the line. As you progress through Youtubers Life 2 you unlock commissions, an app that allows you to complete quick tasks to earn money for yourself. As it makes sense for the type of game this is, the lack of objectives makes the game rather stale within the first hour of the game. That’s all there is to the story aspect of the game. essentially you are given a place to live in NewTube city as you have the potential to become the top NewTube celebrity. The story of the game itself is a bit rocky and can get confusing at times. If you want to move to a different place you can do so in-game. Choosing which neighborhood to live in essentially doesn’t matter. You start with 3 neighborhoods of your choice to move in. You may have guessed it but in NewTube city everybody is constantly talking about upcoming stars or new trends being implemented.
NewTube City is where you kick off your Youtube career. Youtubers Life 2 is a constant grind for internet stardom but in the end, does it really matter? Every day is filled with new hashtags and trends to join in on, New videos and pictures to upload and neighborhoods filled with different activities and shops.
